Not much to report as I just took a short ride this evening after a long stressful day. Addie wanted to go for a ride and it didn’t take much for me to fire up the rig!
This was my third time out at night and I think I’ll plan on riding every night as it’s not as hot in the evening. I do however, have to be on guard as it’s a bit harder to see people darting from behind parked cars.
I’m also glad I sport a full face helmet since there are loads of bugs out at night and I can hear/feel them hitting the helmet which would otherwise be my face.
Addie loves cruising around the neighborhoods in Maplewood but I hope she eventually wants to take full day trips in the hack as soon as the rig has been broken in.
It’s hard to describe how much I enjoy riding and I’m sure it will only get better. I’m proud of myself for not stalling when starting off on a hill with a line of cars behind me but I’m sure it’s bound to happen at some point. I’m a little slow off the start at times for my liking but I’m sure that will be a thing of the past before I know it.
I’ve received quite a few emails from people that have been following my ride reports which I appreciate, and I’ll continue to keep everyone posted. I’ve enjoyed going back and reading them to see just how far I’ve come in such a short period of time. It will be interesting to come back to these in a year.
More reports are on the way…stay tuned!
